Experienced Pile Design and Geotechnical Engineers

At C Hobbs Associates Ltd. we can draw upon more than 50 years of experience in pile design, geotechnical engineering and foundation construction. Importantly, we have a great depth of practical experience working with specialist piling and foundation contractors and main contractors. Also, we have many years of experience working with professional teams including consulting engineers and client organisations. Therefore, we can provide geotechnical and pile design support at all levels of your geotechnical engineering project.

Piled Foundation Design

Much of our design work involves the design of piled foundations for new building and civil engineering structures. Solving issues such as piling near tunnels and differential settlement caused by unequal foundation loading. Additionally, we can design your piled retaining walls either cantilever or propped as best suits your project.  Our design alternatives offer a more efficient foundation or geotechnical engineering system for your project.  Furthermore, we can develop solutions for problems of slope stability with a range of solutions both sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Design Incorporating Safety and Ease of Construction

Our experience managing site construction from small to large scale projects gives us a unique capability in identifying quality, production and safety issues. Importantly this work incorporates all forms of geotechnical processes and systems. Many of our years of experience have been spent at senior management level negotiating and bidding on major projects such as Crossrail, Thames Tideway and nuclear and conventional power station projects. We understand the depth of knowledge and experience needed for the preparation and writing of major project bids. Of course, these skills are just as applicable to smaller projects and we offer support for these too.
